I watched Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage DVD series with my husband. I was so excited to find a comedic marriage tool that is in DVD format. My husband was more than willing to participate when he found out he didn’t have to read a book.
This DVD series is a recording of Mark Gungor’s marriage seminar. It has about 6 hours of teaching on it. A whole weekend at a marriage seminar can be a lot for some people. But with this DVD what we did was cut out an hour of TV time every night and watched this instead. This wasn’t difficult to do since this marriage seminar was hilarious and entertaining.
The topics that he covered were very important and opened my eyes to how men and women think differently. The topics included:
1. Tale of Two Brains – These sessions go into detail of how men and women’s brains are wired differently. My favorite part was when Mark explained the male part of the brain that literally thinks about “nothing”.
2. #1 Key to Incredible Sex – Mark takes this time to focus on the women (since we can be the most complicated in this area) and how men need to treat them. It is beneficial for both husbands and wives to watch these sessions to learn how they might have built up negative attitudes towards sex and how to overcome them.
3. How to Stay Married & Not Kill Anybody – Men can learn how to earn “bonus points” with their wives and wives learn why it’s so important to be your husband’s number one fan. All marriages go through trials and tribulations. Give yourself an advantage by working as a team.
4. Why Does He/She Do That – This just might be the number one question that we ask about the opposite sex. Mark Gungor explains some interesting insights that will have you and your spouse laughing.
Mark Gungor, a Christian pastor, is absolutely hilarious and his impersonations of different men and women are a bonus.
I would definitely recommend this marriage seminar DVD to friends and family – and it would make a great gift for engaged couples, newlyweds, and even couples who have been married for 50 years! This is one seminar you won’t want to miss!
